After his master's defeat by the Valar, Sauron became the second Dark Lord and sought to conquer Middle-earth by creating the Rings of Power.

Witchking - The Lord of the Nazgûl, sometimes known as the Witch-king of Angmar, was the leader of the Nazgûl (Ringwraiths) and Sauron's second-in-command in the Second and Third Ages.
