Liang Hongyu was a Chinese general of the Song Dynasty. She became famous during the Jin–Song wars against the Jurchen-led Jin Dynasty. She was born into a military family in what is now Anhui Province, China. Her father was an army commander, and she received a military education from him. She was also trained in martial arts and archery. Liang Hongyu is remembered as one of the most famous female generals in Chinese history. She is a symbol of courage, strength, and leadership. She is an inspiration to women all over the world.
