In Dark Souls, the Black Knights and Silver Knights are two distinct groups of knights that players encounter throughout the game. Black Knights were once Silver Knights, but they were corrupted by the Abyss, a dark and chaotic force that was unleashed by the Lord Manus, Father of the Abyss. The corruption caused the Black Knights to become more powerful, but also more feral and savage.

Silver Knights are noble warriors who serve Gwyn, Lord of Sunlight. They are known for their valor and their skill in battle.Silver Knights are lightly armored warriors who wield a variety of weapons, including swords, great axes and halbert.
