Ming Dynasty Ye Bu Shou
Ye Bu Shou (夜不收) were a special unit of the Ming Dynasty military. They were responsible for patrolling the borders at night and were known for their stealth and ability to strike quickly. The name Ye Bu Shou literally means "one that does not get off work after nightfall".
Ye Bu Shou were typically armed with light weapons, such as swords and daggers, and were also trained in archery and martial arts. They were also equipped with signalling equipment, such as signal cannons and paper bombs, which they used to communicate with each other and with other units of the Ming army.
