Guan Yin

Guan Yin (观音), also known as Avalokiteśvara, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion and one of the most beloved figures in East Asian spiritual tradition. Revered for her boundless mercy, she listens to the cries of all beings and offers salvation to those who suffer, regardless of status or faith. Though originally depicted as male in Indian Buddhism, Guan Yin evolved in Chinese culture into a gentle, feminine form symbolizing maternal compassion and unconditional love. She is often portrayed holding a willow branch or a vase of pure water, representing healing, purification, and grace.
