Osiris

Osiris, one of the most revered deities in ancient Egyptian mythology, is the god of the afterlife, resurrection, and the eternal judge of the dead. Often depicted as a mummified king with green skin—symbolizing rebirth—and wearing the atef crown flanked by ostrich feathers, Osiris embodies both regal authority and the promise of life after death. His myth is central to Egyptian belief: betrayed and murdered by his jealous brother Set, Osiris was lovingly restored and resurrected by his devoted wife Isis.

This cycle of death and rebirth made him a powerful symbol of immortality and the yearly renewal of the Nile. As lord of the underworld, Osiris presides over the Weighing of the Heart ceremony, where the souls of the deceased are judged for their deeds. His domain is not a place of fear, but of order and eternal peace for the righteous.
