The Shu Han Infantry Squadron was the backbone of Liu Bei’s armies during the turbulent years of the Three Kingdoms era. Unlike the elite cavalry or famed generals, these soldiers represented the disciplined, loyal, and tireless fighting spirit of Shu. Armed with spears, halberds, and shields, they were trained to fight in tight formations, defending their homeland’s mountainous terrain. Their resilience in battle often offset Shu’s smaller manpower compared to Wei and Wu. Shu’s military reforms under Zhuge Liang emphasized discipline and strict organization, ensuring the infantry’s cohesion even against numerically superior foes.
