Romance of the Three Kingdoms Yuan Shao

Yuan Shao (袁紹) is one of the most prominent warlords of the late Eastern Han period in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Born into the prestigious Yuan clan of Runan, he possessed considerable influence, wealth, and political connections, eventually becoming one of the most powerful warlords in northern China. He played a major role in the coalition against Dong Zhuo and later established his power base in Ji Province, commanding a large army and controlling extensive territory.

In the novel, Yuan Shao is portrayed as an imposing and aristocratic warlord whose ambition, authority, and noble lineage are matched by a tendency toward hesitation and poor judgment.
