Zhao Gongming (Central God of Wealth)

Zhao Gongming (赵公明) is a revered figure in Chinese mythology and Taoist tradition, often depicted as a powerful deity of wealth and protection. Originating from the Investiture of the Gods (Fengshen Yanyi), he was once a valiant immortal general loyal to the Shang dynasty. Clad in black armor and riding a fearsome tiger, Zhao Gongming wielded the Five Thunder Bolts and commanded immense spiritual power.

His righteous nature and martial might made him both respected and feared among gods and mortals alike. Though he fought fiercely against Jiang Ziya and the Zhou forces, his defeat and later deification elevated him to divine status. Today, he is venerated as the God of Wealth and Guardian of Prosperity in Taoist belief.
