Zhu Gaosui

Zhu Gaosui (朱高燧) was a Ming dynasty prince, the third son of the Yongle Emperor and younger brother of Zhu Gaochi and Zhu Gaoxu. Unlike his more ambitious siblings, Zhu Gaosui maintained a relatively reserved political stance, often staying clear of the intense struggles for succession that plagued the imperial family. Historical records depict him as a cautious and pragmatic figure, preferring to preserve his fief and stability over vying for imperial power.

Despite living in the shadow of his brothers, he was noted for his intelligence, dignity, and loyalty to the throne. His restraint allowed him to survive the turbulent reign transitions that claimed others in his lineage.
