Romance of the Three Kingdoms Mi Zhu

Mi Zhu (糜竺) was a loyal and refined official of the Eastern Han dynasty, best known for his unwavering support of Liu Bei during the turbulent era of the Three Kingdoms. Born into a wealthy merchant family in Xu Province, Mi Zhu possessed immense personal fortune and influence, which he generously used to aid Liu Bei when the latter was struggling for power and stability.

After Tao Qian’s death, Mi Zhu helped legitimize Liu Bei’s succession as Governor of Xu Province, cementing his place as one of Liu Bei’s most trusted advisors. His contributions were not rooted in battlefield valor, but in diplomacy, logistics, and selfless loyalty. Most notably, he offered his own sister in marriage to Liu Bei, strengthening their alliance. Throughout his service, Mi Zhu remained a figure of humility and integrity.
