Uesugi Kenshin (LYL)

Uesugi Kenshin, known as the “Dragon of Echigo,” was one of the most brilliant and enigmatic warlords of Japan’s Sengoku period. As the daimyo of Echigo Province, he earned a fearsome reputation for his military genius, swift cavalry tactics, and unshakable devotion to Bishamonten, the god of war. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Kenshin fought not for personal ambition, but for righteousness and the defense of justice, seeing war as a sacred duty rather than a means to conquest.

His legendary rivalry with Takeda Shingen—especially the series of battles at Kawanakajima—has become one of the most iconic duels in samurai history. Clad in distinctive armor adorned with a white helmet and dragon crest, Kenshin led his troops with an unmatched blend of strategy, discipline, and charisma. He was both feared and admired, earning loyalty from his retainers and reverence from his enemies.
