World of Warcraft Arthas
Arthas Menethil, the Crown Prince of Lordaeron, began as a noble paladin of the Silver Hand, sworn to protect his people and uphold the Light. Trained under Uther the Lightbringer, he was courageous, determined, and unyielding in the face of danger. However, his zealous commitment to victory led him down a dark path, beginning with his purge of Stratholme to stop the spread of the Scourge at any cost. In his pursuit to save his kingdom, Arthas claimed the cursed runeblade Frostmourne, unknowingly sealing his fate.
The blade stole his soul, twisting his will and transforming him into a death knight in service to the Lich King. Arthas returned to Lordaeron not as a savior, but as its destroyer, murdering his father and leading the undead Scourge to annihilate his homeland. His ruthless campaigns culminated in ascending the Frozen Throne, merging with the Lich King and becoming the embodiment of death itself. Arthas’s story is one of tragedy — a hero’s fall from grace into the depths of darkness.
