World of Warcraft Ner’zhul

Ner’zhul is one of the most tragic and pivotal figures in the World of Warcraft universe, whose choices set in motion events that would forever scar Azeroth. Once a revered shaman and chieftain of the Shadowmoon Clan on Draenor, Ner’zhul was deeply respected for his wisdom and spiritual connection to the ancestors. Deceived by the cunning demon lord Kil’jaeden, he unwittingly led the orcish clans into a blood pact with the Burning Legion, steering them down a path of corruption and war.

When he realized the truth, Ner’zhul tried to resist, but by then the orcs had already become instruments of demonic wrath. His later attempts to escape Draenor’s destruction through reckless portal magic only shattered the world, creating Outland. Captured by Kil’jaeden, Ner’zhul was transformed into the Lich King—stripped of his mortal body and imprisoned within the Frozen Throne.
