Xu Chu, often romanized as Xu Zhu in some adaptations, was one of Cao Cao’s most fearsome bodyguards and warriors in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Towering in stature and blessed with immense physical strength, he was renowned for his loyalty, bravery, and ability to protect his lord even in the most dangerous situations.

Despite his intimidating appearance and battlefield ferocity, Xu Zhu is often portrayed as straightforward, honest, and somewhat simple-minded in personality, giving him a surprisingly endearing presence. His legendary duels and unwavering devotion to Cao Cao made him one of Wei’s most dependable champions, embodying raw strength paired with absolute loyalty.
